Enraged by the phone call, Rita allegedly decided to confront him directly. She orchestrated a meeting in the early hours of December 26, 2025. Rita did not go alone; she was accompanied by her brother-in-law and two other associates.
The group met the complainant outside Borivli West railway station. What began as a verbal altercation quickly escalated into physical violence. The three men accompanying Rita began to beat up the victim. Then, at Rita's explicit instruction, one of the assailants pulled out a knife and stabbed the man in the abdomen.
