Dr Gagandeep Singh, a resident of Sector 71 in Mohali, was riding his motorcycle towards Sector 79 around 8 pm. His brother, Simrandeep Singh, followed him on another motorcycle. As they approached Doon School in Sector 69, an Alto car allegedly speeding from behind hit Dr Gagandeep's motorcycle.

The impact caused serious injuries to Dr Gagandeep. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but died during treatment. The car driver immediately fled the scene after the accident, leaving the victim behind.
