Prayagraj: The body of a 55-year-old milk trader, identified as Ramgopal, a resident of Jagdishpur village, was found under mysterious circumstances near a village nullah within the limits of Tharwai police station on Wednesday morning.
Upon being alerted, a team from Tharwai police station rushed to the spot and sent the body for post-mortem examination. Initial police investigations revealed that the deceased milk trader had left his house on Tuesday afternoon and did not return. On Wednesday morning, his body was discovered under mysterious circumstances near the nullah.
Family members stated that they had no enmity with anyone and were unable to provide any leads regarding the incident. Police officials claimed that the autopsy report would ascertain the cause of death, and further actions would be taken accordingly. The area has been cordoned off, and a case has been registered pending the post-mortem results. Investigations are ongoing to uncover any foul play or suspicious elements surrounding the death.
