Meerut Woman and Two Children Die After Alleged Poison Consumption
A tragic incident unfolded in Meerut district, where a 30-year-old woman and her two young children died under distressing circumstances. The woman allegedly consumed poison along with her six-year-old and four-year-old children. This happened after a heated argument with her in-laws on Thursday night.
Details of the Incident
The event occurred in the Baliyakhedi area, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Gagalhedi police station in Saharanpur. According to police reports, the woman had a verbal spat with her in-laws during the evening. Following this dispute, she threatened to end her life along with her kids.
She left her home later that evening and switched off her mobile phone. Authorities found the woman and her children lying unconscious on a road. They were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Unfortunately, all three succumbed to their condition and passed away at the hospital.
Police Investigation and Arrests
City SP Vyom Bindal provided crucial details about the case. He confirmed that an FIR has been registered under BNS section 108, which deals with abetment of suicide. The police named the woman's husband and three other individuals in the complaint.
Following the registration of the FIR, law enforcement officials arrested the husband. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for a postmortem examination. Additionally, samples have been dispatched to a laboratory to determine the exact nature of the poison consumed.
