In a brazen daylight heist, three masked robbers armed with a pistol stormed into the office of a tobacco wholesaler agency in Samastipur district, Bihar, on Monday, making off with Rs 4.5 lakh in cash and a laptop. The armed assailants held the owner hostage and threatened his brother at gunpoint to open the cash counter, committing the robbery in a swift and terrifying operation.
Details of the Robbery Incident
According to police reports, the robbery occurred at the agency office located in Bahadurpur Model High School Colony under the Town police station jurisdiction. The robbers arrived on a motorcycle and entered the office one-by-one, immediately taking the occupants hostage. One of them confined the owner, Rahul, in a room, while another pointed a pistol at his younger brother, Ankit, forcing him to open the cash counter. There were 12 of us in the office at the time, and everyone was terrified. There were Rs 2.5 lakh in the cash counter and Rs 2 lakh of collection money. They took everything. They had covered their faces, so we couldn’t identify them,” he said, highlighting the fear and chaos during the incident.
