Married woman found dead in Hyderabad hotel after video call

Hyderabad police are investigating the death of a 26-year-old married woman, Renuka, whose body was discovered in a hotel room in the Langar Houz area early Friday morning. Renuka, a resident of Alwal, had checked into the hotel with a man at around 3 am on Wednesday, according to police. The man left the hotel at approximately 10.30 pm on Thursday, while she remained in the room.

Woman had video call with friend before death

Hotel records indicate that Renuka ordered dinner at around 11.56 pm on Thursday. She later made a video call to a friend before she was found dead in the room. Police were alerted by hotel staff after they discovered her body. A police team reached the hotel, conducted a preliminary inspection, and shifted the body for a post-mortem examination.

Police register case, examine evidence

Police have registered a case and are examining CCTV footage, hotel records, and the woman's mobile phone. The man who accompanied her to the hotel is also being questioned as part of the investigation. Langar Houz Sub-Inspector Syed Munwar Ali stated, "We have registered a case and are investigating all aspects. The exact circumstances leading to the woman's death will be known only after the investigation is completed."

According to police, Renuka was married and had a child. She worked at a restaurant and pub in the city. Authorities are awaiting the post-mortem report to determine the cause of death and are exploring all possibilities, including foul play.
