According to police officials, the victim has been identified as Noorjahan, aged 27. She had been married to the accused, Sahil alias Raja, for the past four years. However, the relationship had been strained for some time, as the husband allegedly harbored suspicions regarding his wife's character.

Police investigations revealed that the accused had arrived from Mumbai on Wednesday.
