Tanveer Ahmad Chopan was traveling in a pick-up truck from Jammu, carrying a milch cow and two calves, when he was reportedly pursued by a group of miscreants. In a desperate attempt to evade them, Chopan leaped into a nearby rivulet and has not been seen since. The circumstances surrounding his jump are under intense scrutiny by authorities.
Police Response and Investigation
Police have swiftly formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the disappearance of Tanveer Ahmad Chopan. The SIT is being led by Banhal SDPO Surinder Singh Biloria, who confirmed that four accused—Surjeet Singh, Sandeep Singh, Digvijay Singh, and Keval Singh—have been arrested in connection with the case. Biloria emphasized that the investigation will thoroughly examine the events leading up to Chopan's disappearance.
Search efforts are ongoing, with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) collaborating with local residents to locate Chopan. Despite these efforts, he remains missing, heightening concerns in the community.
