Junagadh Man Dies by Suicide After 4 Months of Harassment, Video Evidence Circulated
Man Dies by Suicide After Harassment in Junagadh Village

A tragic incident of suicide has been reported from a village in Gujarat's Junagadh district, where a young man allegedly took his own life after enduring months of relentless harassment. The case has brought to light serious allegations of mental torture and the failure to prevent such an extreme step.

Details of the Junagadh Suicide Case

The deceased has been identified as Bhavsingh Dhana, a 30-year-old resident of Kalvani village in Keshod taluka. According to the complaint filed by his father, the young man ended his life at his farm on December 27, 2025. The method used was hanging.

The complaint, lodged at the Keshod police station by Amu Dhana, points a finger at a fellow village resident named Aniruddhsinh Jakhia. Amu Dhana alleges that his son had been a victim of systematic harassment by the accused for a period of four months leading up to the tragedy.

Video Evidence and Prior Suicide Attempt

In a significant revelation, the father stated that Bhavsingh had earlier recorded a video that documented the harassment he was facing. This video was later circulated widely, which, instead of stopping the torment, allegedly led to continued and intensified mental torture from the accused.

The situation had escalated to such an extent that Bhavsingh had previously attempted to take his own life. The family revealed that he had tried to end his life by consuming some medicine. Following this earlier attempt, the family had officially informed the local police about the ongoing harassment and the dire mental state of the victim.

Alleged Police Inaction and Fatal Outcome

Despite the family's plea to the authorities after the first suicide attempt, the alleged harassment did not cease. Amu Dhana's complaint suggests that the continued mental torture ultimately drove his son to take the extreme step. The implication is that the intervention, if any, was insufficient to protect Bhavsingh.

The police are now investigating the case based on the complaint. The allegations are severe, involving abetment and sustained harassment that allegedly led to a loss of life. This incident raises critical questions about the mechanisms to address harassment and mental torture in rural communities and the effectiveness of response systems when such complaints are raised.
