Man Brutally Murdered with Stone in Beed's Isolated Shivar Area
A 30-year-old man was allegedly bludgeoned to death with a stone by unidentified assailants in Dongardevi Dagadwadi Shivar, located on the border of Patoda and Shirur Kasar talukas in Beed district. The police have suspected that old enmity or a financial dispute could be the possible motive behind this gruesome crime.
Discovery of the Body and Victim Identification
The murder came to light on Monday morning when villagers noticed a body lying in a pool of blood at approximately 8 am. Upon closer inspection, they found the victim's face was brutally smashed, making initial identification difficult. The deceased was later identified as Chand, alias Guddu Alauddin Tamboli (30), a resident of Raimoh village. Tamboli worked as a dyer by profession.
Timeline and Nature of the Attack
The police believe the murder took place late Sunday night or in the early hours of Monday in the isolated stretch of Dagadwadi Shivar. Preliminary findings indicate that the attackers repeatedly struck Tamboli with a heavy stone, causing fatal head injuries and leading to his death on the spot.
Police Response and Investigation
On receiving information, Patoda inspector Vinod Gholve and his team visited the scene, cordoned off the area, and carried out a detailed spot panchnama. The body was later sent to the government hospital at Raimoh for postmortem examination.
Beed superintendent of police Navneet Kanwat stated, "We registered a case of murder and multiple teams have been formed to trace the accused. All angles, including previous disputes and financial transactions, are being thoroughly examined. The accused will be arrested soon."
Community Reaction and Ongoing Efforts
Villagers have demanded immediate arrests, while police have stepped up patrolling in the area to ensure security. Further investigation is underway, with police awaiting forensic reports and call records to gather more evidence and identify the perpetrators.
