Madurai Lok Adalat Settles 30 Cases, Rs 7.07 Crore Resolved

The National Lok Adalat, organized at the Madurai bench of the Madras High Court on Saturday, successfully resolved 30 cases. Three special benches, presided over by Justice P B Balaji, Justice P Vadamalai, and Justice P Dhanabal, were established to handle the proceedings.

Cases Taken Up and Settled

Out of a total of 383 cases presented before the adalat, 30 were settled on the same day. The total amount involved in these settlements reached Rs 7.07 crore.

District Court Lok Adalat

Simultaneously, the National Lok Adalat held at the Madurai District Court witnessed a larger turnout. A total of 6,187 cases were taken up, of which 5,945 cases were resolved. This included 201 motor accident cases and 65 civil cases. The total amount settled at the district court level was Rs 24.18 crore.
