The car was being driven by Harmanpreet Singh Dhaliwal, a resident of the local area. Upon conducting a thorough search of the automobile, officers discovered two large plastic bags containing the illicit substance, totaling 60 kilograms of poppy husk, concealed on the rear seat.
During subsequent interrogation, Dhaliwal revealed the involvement of an accomplice, Navjot Singh, who hails from Lopon village. Acting swiftly on this crucial information, the police launched a manhunt and successfully arrested Navjot Singh on Tuesday, thereby dismantling a key link in the drug distribution network.

Both individuals taken into custody have established criminal records, underscoring their deep involvement in illegal activities.
