Ludhiana Police Files Gangrape Case Against Three Men After Office Assault

Police in Ludhiana have taken swift action by filing a formal case against three men accused of the gangrape of a woman, who was allegedly lured to their office under false pretenses. Two of the accused have been identified by authorities, while the third remains unknown, sparking an intensive manhunt to bring all perpetrators to justice.

Complainant's Financial Troubles Lead to Trust Exploitation

The victim, in her complaint to the police, revealed that she initially came into contact with one of the accused and shared her financial difficulties with him. This individual then introduced her to another accused, who purportedly lent her Rs 2.70 lakh at an interest rate of 10%. She diligently repaid the amount on time, a move that unfortunately helped the accused gain her trust and set the stage for the subsequent horrific events.

Alleged Assault and Intimidation Details Emerge

According to the complainant, on August 13, 2025, the accused called her to his office located near a religious place in Ludhiana. Upon arrival, she found the second accused and an unidentified third man present. The trio allegedly offered her a cold drink that was laced with an intoxicant, causing her to lose consciousness. While she was unconscious, the three men sexually assaulted her one after another in a brutal gangrape incident.

The complainant further alleged that the accused recorded obscene videos of the assault. After she regained consciousness, they forced her to hand over blank cheques and signed documents under duress. The perpetrators threatened to make the video viral and even kill her if she did not comply with their demands, adding a layer of criminal intimidation to the already grave sexual violence charges.

Police Investigation and Legal Framework

Following the detailed complaint, Dugri police in Ludhiana promptly registered a case against the accused under specific sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The charges include:

  • Section 70: Pertaining to gangrape, which addresses sexual assault by multiple perpetrators.
  • Section 351 (2): Related to criminal intimidation, covering threats of harm or reputation damage.
  • Section 127 (2): Concerning wrongful confinement, which involves illegally restraining someone's freedom.

Police sources have confirmed that a manhunt has been launched to arrest the accused, with investigations ongoing to uncover all aspects of this disturbing case. The authorities are working diligently to ensure that justice is served and to prevent such incidents in the future through rigorous enforcement of the law.
