A district court in Bagaha, West Champaran, handed down a life imprisonment sentence to four people on Saturday. The group includes a woman convicted of murdering her own husband. The court also imposed a substantial fine on all the accused.

Police discovered Lorik Yadav's dismembered remains on June 23, 2022. The investigation that followed uncovered a shocking conspiracy. Madhu Devi, the wife of the deceased, plotted with her lover, Krishna, to murder her husband. Two friends of Krishna, named Chhota Yadav and Ranjit Ram, also participated in the crime.
Gruesome Discovery and Investigation
After committing the murder, the accused attempted to dispose of the body. They went so far as to dismember it. Police later recovered the victim's skeletal remains, including his head, hands, and feet, from several different locations.
The court based its guilty verdict on the thorough police investigation report and the extensive arguments presented during the trial. Jitendra Bharti confirmed that Madhu Devi and the other accused have remained in judicial custody since their arrest on July 8, 2022.
