Gang Claims Responsibility for Delhi Gym Shooting

Two men on a motorcycle opened fire outside a gym in Paschim Vihar, Outer Delhi, on Monday night. The incident occurred near R K Fitness on the Outer Ring Road. Police reported that one of the shooters fired two shots outside the establishment. Fortunately, no one sustained injuries during the firing.

Social Media Message Surfaces After Incident

Hours after the shooting, a purported message appeared on social media. The post claimed responsibility for the attack on behalf of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. It surfaced on a Facebook account under the name Randeep Malik.

The message stated that Randeep Malik and Anil Pandit, based in the United States, orchestrated the firing. According to the post, they targeted the gym owner because he ignored their phone calls.

The message contained a direct threat: "Next time call nahi uthaya to dharti se uthwa dunga tujhe jaise Nadir Shah ko uthaya tha... (If you do not pick our call, you will be eliminated like Nadir Shah)."

Police Investigation Underway

Delhi police confirmed they registered a case related to the firing. Officers are currently verifying the authenticity of the social media post. The investigation remains active as authorities work to identify the shooters and establish connections to the gang.

The message also mentioned loyalty to Lawrence Bishnoi. It declared that enemies of Bishnoi would remain enemies. The post named other gang members including Hashim Baba, Kala Rana, and Jitenderr Gogi.

Background on Lawrence Bishnoi Gang

Lawrence Bishnoi currently resides in Gujarat's Sabarmati Jail. Authorities have linked him to multiple high-profile cases. These include the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala and threats outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's residence.

Canada recently designated the Lawrence Bishnoi gang as a terrorist entity. This international recognition highlights the group's criminal activities.

The message referenced Nadir Shah, a gym owner murdered outside his Greater Kailash establishment in September 2024. Police arrested more than a dozen Lawrence Bishnoi gang members in connection with that case.

Hashim Baba and Kala Rana are currently lodged in Delhi's Tihar Jail. Their incarceration demonstrates ongoing law enforcement efforts against the gang.

The incident underscores persistent security challenges in Delhi. Criminal gangs continue to operate despite key members being behind bars. Police vigilance remains crucial to prevent further violence.
