Long-Pending 2005 Case Leads to Arrest
Police stated that Aneesh was arrested in connection with a 2005 case. He allegedly obstructed police officers from performing their duties. The trial in this case had already begun. Aneesh skipped multiple summonses, which led to the issuance of the non-bailable warrant.

Police took Aneesh into custody to check for any pending cases against him. They identified the non-bailable warrant. Subsequently, his arrest was officially recorded. He was presented in court, which remanded him in judicial custody.
Additional Robbery Charges from Tamil Nadu
Sources added that Aneesh was wanted in a robbery case. Chavadi police near Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, registered this case. A team of Tamil Nadu police recently conducted investigations in Kochi looking for him.
City police sources said Chavadi police were intimated about Aneesh's arrest. They are expected to file a petition before the court seeking custody of Aneesh. A team from Chavadi police visited the central station on Thursday.
Criminal Links and Social Media Presence
Aneesh is alleged to have links to a criminal gang active in Kochi city. He also enjoys a large following on social media. He reportedly claimed to the media that he is likely to be killed through a fake encounter in Tamil Nadu.
