Karnataka Police Organizes Major Awareness Marathon in Ballari to Combat Social Issues
In a significant community-driven initiative, the Karnataka Police successfully organized a large-scale awareness marathon at the DAR grounds in Ballari City on Sunday. Ballari Superintendent of Police Suman D Pennekar officially flagged off the marathon, marking the third consecutive year the event has been held in the district. Expressing her satisfaction with the overwhelming response, SP Pennekar noted that more than 1,000 enthusiastic participants registered for this year's edition, showcasing strong community engagement.

To ensure inclusivity, a special 2-kilometer walkathon was conducted for senior citizens, allowing them to join the movement. Officials highlighted the primary objectives of the program:

- Reinforcing road safety norms, including mandatory helmet usage.
- Protecting women and children and enhancing vigilance against cyber fraud, which has seen a steady rise across Karnataka in recent years.
