A 21-year-old man allegedly killed his elderly uncle in Kanpur Dehat on Saturday night by repeatedly striking him on the neck with a pair of scissors, police said.
Incident Details
According to police, the accused, Suraj Singh, who lived with his two uncles in Malikpur village, had an argument with the deceased, Pratap Singh, 65, after which he attacked and killed him in a fit of rage. Police said the accused had also argued with another uncle, identified as Bhura Singh.
After the Murder
After committing the murder, the accused reportedly fled to his aunt's house in Panki. Sensing something wrong, she sent a man from her village to Malikpur, where he learnt about the incident. Later, the deceased's brother, Bhura Singh, lodged a complaint against his nephew.
Investigation
Police and forensic teams collected evidence from the spot and recorded statements of witnesses. Inspector of Kotwali police station, Amrendra Bahadur Singh, said the body has been sent for post-mortem, and further investigation is underway.
