Security measures were significantly enhanced on the premises of the district court in Jhansi on Friday after a judge received a threatening registered letter. The letter, which targeted the SC/ST court judge Aditya, warned of an intent to blow up the court premises between April 28 and April 30.

Sources revealed that the sender signed the letter using the designation 'advocate'. In the communication, the sender alleged that in past judicial proceedings at Lucknow courts, members of a particular community had faced harsher punishments. Citing this perception as a motive for revenge, the sender explicitly threatened to target the court premises, raising serious security concerns.

Taking the matter with utmost seriousness, the chief administrative officer of the district court immediately instructed police officials to take action. ASP Areeba Nomaan confirmed that security has been beefed up not only at the court's premises but also at the residence of the judge to ensure comprehensive protection.
A case has been registered against an unidentified person in connection with the threat. "Preliminary inquiry revealed that the letter was received from the post office on the court campus. We are tracking the source of the sender and will nab him soon," the ASP added, emphasizing the ongoing investigation efforts.
