In a tragic incident that has shaken the Govindgarh area of Jaipur (Rural), the bodies of a young man and woman were discovered hanging from a tree on Wednesday. Local residents first spotted the grim scene and immediately alerted the police authorities.
Details of the Deceased and Recovery of Suicide Note
The police swiftly arrived at the location and identified the two individuals. The man was 24 years old, while the woman was 20. During the initial examination, a critical piece of evidence was found: a suicide note was recovered from the pocket of the deceased woman. Based on this discovery, the police registered an inquest and launched a full investigation into the circumstances leading to their deaths.
Past Legal Case Comes to Light
As the investigation progressed, a troubling past connection between the two emerged. DSP (Govindgarh) Rajesh Jangid revealed that the 24-year-old man had been booked in a POCSO case in 2024. The case was filed by the family of the same girl found deceased. According to the DSP, the man had been sent to judicial custody in connection with this matter previously. Police sources indicated that the woman was reported as a minor in the original First Information Report (FIR).
Police Investigation and Suspected Motive
The police are currently investigating all angles of this complex case. While initial suspicion points towards a love affair that may have ended in tragedy, officials are not ruling out any possibilities. The primary aim is to understand the exact sequence of events that transpired. The bodies were carefully taken down and shifted to the mortuary of a hospital in Chomu for post-mortem examination. After the necessary procedures were completed, the remains were handed over to the grieving families of the deceased.
