Tragedy Strikes Indore as Out-of-Control SUV Kills Student
A young student lost his life, and two others were injured in a horrific road accident in Indore on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred when a speeding SUV lost control and crashed into a roadside shop near Kila Maidan on Marimata Road.
Victim Was Scouting Coaching Institutes with Family
The deceased has been identified as Chandan Sharma. According to police reports, he was accompanied by his mother and younger sister at the time of the accident. The family was in the area to inquire about a coaching institute when the tragedy unfolded.
Investigations suggest that the vehicle, moving at high speed, veered off the road and ploughed into the shop. Chandan, who was walking slightly behind his mother and sister, became trapped between the SUV and an electric pole. He succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
Injured Rushed to Hospital, Driver in Custody
All the injured persons were immediately rushed to MY Hospital for treatment. Chandan's younger sister, Nandini, sustained injuries in the crash. The shop operator, Ashish Yadav, was also hurt. Hospital authorities have reported that the condition of both injured individuals is currently stable.
Officials from Banganga police station swiftly responded to the scene. The driver of the SUV was taken into custody for questioning as the investigation into the exact cause of the accident continues. Preliminary findings point towards loss of vehicle control as the primary reason for the crash.
