International Operation Nets India's Most Wanted Gangsters

In a significant breakthrough for Indian law enforcement, two of the country's most dangerous gangsters operating from foreign soil have been apprehended in coordinated international operations. Venkatesh Garg and Bhau Rana, both high-profile criminals with extensive criminal networks across North India, were arrested in separate operations conducted by security agencies including the Haryana Police.

Dual Arrests Across Continents

According to security officials, the operations spanned multiple countries with Venkatesh Garg being arrested in Georgia while Bhau Rana was taken into custody in the United States. Both gangsters are expected to be deported to India soon to face numerous criminal charges pending against them.

The successful operations have revealed crucial information about the modus operandi of these international criminal syndicates. Currently, Indian authorities estimate that over two dozen Indian gangsters are operating from foreign countries while managing criminal activities within India through local recruits.

Venkatesh Garg: The Extortion Kingpin

Venkatesh Garg, a resident of Narayangarh in Haryana, faces more than 10 criminal cases in India. His criminal career took an international turn when he fled to Georgia following the murder of a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader in Gurugram.

Investigations reveal that Garg was actively recruiting youth from Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, and other North Indian states to expand his criminal empire. He operated an extensive extortion syndicate in partnership with gangster Kapil Sangwan, who also currently resides overseas.

The reach of their network became evident when four shooters from the Sangwan gang were arrested in October for their involvement in shooting incidents at a builder's house and farmhouse.

Bhau Rana: The Transatlantic Crime Lord

Bhau Rana represents another significant threat to law and order in North India. Originally from Karnal in Haryana, Rana has been living in the United States for quite some time while managing his criminal operations back home.

Rana maintains strong connections with the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang and has multiple police cases registered against him. His criminal network spans across Haryana, Punjab, and Delhi, making him one of the most active gangsters in the region.

During investigations into a grenade attack in Punjab, Rana's name emerged as a key conspirator. In a related development from June, two men were arrested from Karnal for possession of hand grenades, pistols, and ammunition, who subsequently revealed they were acting on Rana's instructions.

Broader Implications for Cross-Border Crime

The arrests highlight the growing trend of Indian gangsters establishing bases abroad while continuing to orchestrate crimes within the country. This modus operandi allows them to evade Indian law enforcement while maintaining control over their criminal enterprises through digital communication and local proxies.

Security agencies have expressed confidence that these arrests will significantly disrupt the operations of multiple criminal syndicates operating in North India. The extradition and subsequent legal proceedings against Garg and Rana are expected to reveal more details about international criminal networks targeting India.
