Hazaribag Police Recover 23 Stolen Motorcycles in Major Crackdown
In a significant law enforcement achievement, the Hazaribag police have successfully recovered 23 stolen motorcycles from various locations within Napokala village, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Barkagaon Police Station. This operation marks a major breakthrough in the ongoing efforts to combat vehicle theft in the region.
Arrest Made in Connection with the Case
One individual, identified as Satish Prajapati, aged 30, has been apprehended by the authorities in connection with this extensive motorcycle theft ring. The arrest followed a series of coordinated raids conducted by the police based on confidential intelligence.
Amit Kumar, the Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) at Hazaribag headquarters, provided details on the operation. He stated that upon receiving credible information, police teams swiftly moved into the Barkagaon area to execute the raids. This recovery is particularly noteworthy as it represents the second instance within a single week where a large number of stolen motorcycles have been retrieved from Barkagaon, indicating a persistent issue in the locality.
Interrogation Reveals Modus Operandi
During the interrogation process, Satish Prajapati disclosed the methods employed by the theft ring. He confessed that the motorcycles were stolen using master keys that had been fabricated from various police station areas across Hazaribag. This revelation highlights a sophisticated and organized approach to vehicle theft, raising concerns about the security measures in place.
Additional SP Amit Kumar further informed the public that the police suspect more stolen motorcycles may still be concealed in different parts of Barkagaon. In response to this suspicion, fresh raids are being planned and will be conducted shortly to uncover any remaining stolen vehicles and potentially apprehend additional suspects involved in the network.
