Haryana Man Arrested for Rs 50 Lakh Theft in Churu

In a significant breakthrough, the Sadulpur police on Wednesday arrested a resident of Haryana for allegedly stealing cash and jewellery valued at approximately Rs 50 lakh from two houses in Pahadsar village, located in the Churu district. The theft occurred on the night of June 3, prompting a swift investigation.

Investigation and Arrest

Station Officer Rajesh Kumar Sihag reported that thefts were registered from two separate residences in Pahadsar village. Following the complaints, a case was filed and an investigation was launched. A specialized team was formed under the supervision of Assistant Superintendent of Police Richhpal Singh Charan and IPS officer Abhijeet Patil, with Sihag leading the operation. Leveraging technical evidence, CCTV footage, and information from informants, the police traced and apprehended Neeraj Kumar, a resident of Haryana.

Confession and Recovery

During interrogation, the accused allegedly confessed to committing the thefts in Pahadsar village. Police revealed that Neeraj is a habitual offender, with multiple cases of theft and property-related crimes registered against him in Haryana. Based on his disclosure, law enforcement recovered stolen gold and silver ornaments worth several lakhs of rupees.

Officials stated that further interrogation is underway to ascertain his involvement in other theft cases. The police continue to investigate the matter to ensure all stolen items are recovered and the accused is brought to justice.
