Hansi Police Crack Blind Murder Case in 48 Hours, Arrest Former Barber
The Hansi police have achieved a significant breakthrough by solving a blind murder case within just two days of the incident. The victim, property dealer Subhash Chandra, was brutally attacked in his Sector-6 office under the City Police Station area on February 3, 2026.
Swift Police Action and Scientific Investigation
According to Superintendent of Police Amit Yashwardhan, the case presented immediate challenges as there were no direct clues available at the crime scene. The murder was particularly sensitive and complex, with the victim allegedly attacked with sharp-edged weapons and robbed of a gold chain and other valuable items.
Police teams immediately reached the spot and employed scientific and legal methods to collect evidence. SP Yashwardhan personally inspected the crime scene and provided guidance to investigating officers throughout the process.
Arrest of Main Accused
Based on statements from the victim's family, a murder case was registered against unknown persons, and 15 special teams were constituted to trace the accused. Despite limited initial leads, the investigation progressed through technical analysis and evidence-based inputs.
The breakthrough came on Thursday night with the arrest of Gurmeet, a resident of village Bhaini Maharajpur in Hansi district. Gurmeet, who previously worked as a hairdresser for the deceased property dealer, sustained injuries while attempting to flee from police custody.
Murder Conspiracy Unraveled
During preliminary interrogation, Gurmeet disclosed crucial details about the crime's planning and execution. Approximately one and a half months before the murder, he had traveled to Chhatarpur in Madhya Pradesh, where he befriended four individuals: Pawan, Mahendra, Sanju, and Akash.
The group maintained constant contact and later stayed at Gurmeet's residence in Hansi. To arrange money for travel expenses, they allegedly planned a robbery targeting Subhash Chandra.
Gurmeet had previously operated a salon in Sector-5, Hansi, which the victim regularly visited. Noting that Subhash Chandra often wore gold jewellery, the accused conspired with his associates to rob him. Gurmeet provided his motorcycle for executing the crime, which ultimately escalated into murder.
Police Recognition and Reward
Director General of Police Ajay Singhal has announced a cash reward of Rs 50,000 for the police team responsible for scientifically solving this challenging case. DGP Singhal congratulated the Hansi police team, stating they would receive the financial reward along with a commendation certificate for their exemplary work.
While Gurmeet has been apprehended, police efforts continue to locate and arrest his accomplices, who remain absconding. The investigation demonstrates how methodical police work, combined with scientific approaches, can solve even the most challenging criminal cases in remarkably short timeframes.
