Security footage revealed an unidentified individual hastily leaving the premises, prompting an investigation.
Apprehension and Injuries Sustained
On the night of March 20, six days after the theft, Mukesh and Kapil spotted a man near the bus stand whom they recognized from the CCTV footage. When confronted, the suspect, identified as Amit, attempted to flee. During the ensuing chase, he collided with a wall in an underpass and leaped onto the road, resulting in severe injuries including bruises, abrasions, and lacerations on his back, arms, thighs, and legs. He was subsequently detained by the locals before police arrived.

Police were alerted about the injured suspect and promptly shifted him to Civil Hospital in Sector 10 for medical treatment. A thorough examination documented his multiple injuries, and he was kept under security surveillance. Based on Mukesh's complaint, a formal case has been registered under Sections 305 (theft in a dwelling house) and 331(4) (lurking house-trespass) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), highlighting the seriousness of the alleged crime.
