Gurgaon Hotel Tragedy: Driver Found Dead from Suspected Sex Stimulant Overdose
A 56-year-old man was discovered deceased at a hotel in Gurgaon's Sector 14 on Wednesday, with preliminary police investigations pointing to a fatal overdose of sex stimulants as the likely cause.
Details of the Incident and Police Investigation
According to authorities, the victim, a native of Nuh who worked as a driver at a city post office, had come to the hotel to meet a woman. Police received an emergency call on Wednesday evening reporting a man lying dead at the location. The call was placed by a friend of the deceased who alerted the authorities.
Police found the wrapper of medication at the hotel room, which was reportedly brought by the deceased himself. The preliminary assessment suggests that the man consumed an excessive quantity of sex stimulants, which possibly triggered a sudden cardiac arrest leading to his death.
Medical Examination and Legal Proceedings
The body was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where medical professionals declared him "dead on arrival." Subsequently, the remains were sent to the mortuary for a comprehensive autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
Police have initiated inquest proceedings under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and stated that no foul play is suspected in this case. After completing necessary formalities, the body was handed over to the grieving family members.
Tragic Personal Circumstances
Adding to the sorrow of the situation, family members revealed that the deceased's son was scheduled to get married next month, making this untimely death particularly devastating for the family during what should have been a celebratory period.
The incident has raised concerns about the potential dangers of unregulated sexual enhancement medications and their possible health consequences when consumed without medical supervision.
