A shocking and brutal crime has come to light in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, where a tenant couple allegedly murdered their 55-year-old landlady, dismembered her body, and stuffed the parts into a suitcase. The incident unfolded on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. Police officials, acting on a tip-off about suspicious activity, arrived at a house in Raj Nagar's Sector 5. Their investigation led them to a large, black suitcase from which a foul smell was emanating. Upon opening it, they made the horrific discovery of human body parts.
The victim was identified as Urmila Sharma, a 55-year-old widow who owned the property. The prime suspects are her tenants, a couple identified as Ankur and his wife Rinku. Preliminary investigations suggest that the couple had been living in a portion of Urmila Sharma's house for approximately one and a half years.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Vivek Chandra Yadav stated that the police received information about the crime through the dial 112 service. A team from the Raj Nagar police station immediately rushed to the scene. The accused, Ankur and Rinku, were apprehended from the house itself. The police also recovered the alleged murder weapon and other evidence from the crime scene.

According to police statements, the tenant couple, Ankur and Rinku, owed a significant amount of rent to the landlady.
