Ghaziabad Bike Crash: 19-Year-Old Girl Dies, Friend Critical After Hitting Divider on NH-9

A tragic road accident in Ghaziabad has claimed the life of a 19-year-old girl and left her friend critically injured. The incident occurred when their sports bike collided with a divider on National Highway 9, highlighting ongoing safety concerns in the city.

Details of the Fatal Collision

The victim, identified as Ikra, a resident of Pasonda, Teela Mor, was driving a Yamaha R-15 motorcycle. Her friend, Haseem, was riding pillion and reportedly filming the ride at the time of the crash. Neither individual was wearing a helmet, which likely exacerbated their injuries.

Police have recovered a 30-second video from Haseem's phone that captured moments before the accident. Assistant Commissioner of Police (Wave City) Priyashri Pal stated that a passer-by alerted authorities at 4:25 AM on Sunday about a bike colliding with a divider near the Misalgarhi underpass.
