Ghaziabad Bike Crash Claims Teen Girl's Life, Leaves Friend Critically Injured
A tragic road accident in Ghaziabad has resulted in the death of a 19-year-old girl and left her friend fighting for his life. The incident occurred when their sports bike collided with a divider on National Highway 9, highlighting ongoing safety concerns in the city.

Ikra, a resident of Pasonda, Teela Mor, was driving a Yamaha R-15 motorcycle with her friend Haseem riding pillion. According to police reports, neither individual was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Shockingly, Haseem was filming the ride on his phone when the bike struck the divider near the Misalgarhi underpass.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (Wave City) Priyashri Pal stated that police received information about the accident at 4:25 AM on Sunday from a passer-by. A police team promptly reached the location and transported both injured individuals to a nearby hospital. Doctors declared Ikra dead upon arrival, while Haseem remained in critical condition.
Police Investigation and Recovered Evidence
Police have recovered a 30-second video from Haseem's mobile phone that captured moments before the crash. The investigation reveals that the two had left their homes at 11 AM on Saturday, and their families had been unable to contact them since. While no formal complaint has been filed yet, authorities confirm that an investigation is actively underway to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.
