Four Lives Lost in Jabalpur as Speeding Vehicles Cause Multiple Accidents
Jabalpur witnessed a tragic series of road accidents over the past day, resulting in four fatalities and five injuries. Police confirmed that speeding vehicles caused all these incidents across different parts of the city.
First Accident: Bus Collision Near Suratlaai Padwar
The initial crash occurred near the Suratlaai Padwar turn under Madhotal police station limits. A passenger bus traveling from Jabalpur to Sagar collided head-on with an auto-rickshaw and a motorcycle. The bus allegedly drove rashly in front of a weighbridge.
Madhotal police station in-charge Virendra Singh Pawar stated that the bus, bearing registration MP 15 ZF 3254, rammed into the motorcycle and auto. The impact killed the biker instantly at the scene.
Authorities identified the deceased as Aniket Chadhar, a 35-year-old resident of Sahajpur. Five auto passengers, including Ajay Ahirwar and Sapna, suffered injuries. Emergency services rushed them to a hospital for treatment.
Second Incident: Tanker Hits Scooter Rider Near Engineering College
Under Ranjhi police station limits, another tragedy unfolded. A speeding tanker struck a scooter rider in front of the Engineering College girls' hostel.
The victim, Akhilesh Chourasia aged 45, sustained critical injuries. He died before reaching medical care. Police reported that Akhilesh was riding his scooter toward Ranjhi when the high-speed tanker hit him.
Doctors at the civil hospital declared him brought dead upon arrival. The incident highlights the dangers of speeding near educational institutions.
Third Crash: Car Accident on NH-30 Near Uldana Bridge
Early Saturday morning, a car crashed into a roadside board near Uldana bridge on NH-30. This area falls under Sihora police station jurisdiction.
One occupant, Salman Ali aged 25, died from his injuries. The car was traveling from Hyderabad to Rampur in Uttar Pradesh when the driver allegedly lost control due to overspeeding.
Fourth Fatality: Youth Dies Near Mukti Dham Road
Kundam police reported an additional road accident near Mukti Dham road. A 20-year-old youth named Balram Jhariya died after meeting with an accident there.
Police have registered cases for all these incidents. They completed legal formalities and sent the bodies for post-mortem examinations. The injured individuals received hospital admission for medical care.
Investigations continue in all cases as authorities work to determine precise causes and potential preventive measures. These accidents underscore the urgent need for stricter speed enforcement on Jabalpur's roads.
