Tragic Road Accident Claims Four Lives in Fatehpur
A devastating road accident near the Mevli turn on Bahua Road in Fatehpur resulted in the deaths of four individuals on Friday night, according to local police authorities. The incident, which occurred around 10:30 PM, involved a catastrophic chain of events that began with a head-on collision between two motorcycles.
Details of the Fatal Collision
Police reports indicate that two motorcycles, each carrying two persons, collided directly with one another on the roadway. Following this initial impact, two of the victims—identified as Saurabh Dwivedi, aged 18, and Gajraj Pal, aged 32—fell onto the road surface. Tragically, they were subsequently struck and killed by a speeding truck that approached from behind the scene of the accident.
Injuries and Fatal Outcomes
The two other individuals involved in the bike collision, Akash (22) and Umesh Pal (25), sustained critical injuries in the crash. Authorities from the Lalauli police station promptly transported the injured men to the community health centre located in Ghazipur for emergency medical attention. Due to the severity of their conditions, both patients were referred to Sadar hospital for advanced treatment.
Despite medical efforts, Akash succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital. Umesh Pal tragically passed away during transit to the medical facility. The truck driver responsible for striking the fallen victims fled the scene immediately after the incident, and police investigations are ongoing to locate the individual.
