Tragic Night in Coimbatore: Four Lives Lost in Separate Road Accidents

Coimbatore district was struck by tragedy on Friday night as four individuals lost their lives in two distinct road accidents. The incidents occurred in Thudiyalur and Sirumugai, highlighting ongoing concerns about road safety in the region.

The victims have been identified as R Rohit, 18, a resident of Idayarpalayam and a student at a private college in Coimbatore, and V Sudharsan, 22, from Pannimadai, who was employed at a private firm near Sarvanampatti.

According to preliminary reports, Rohit borrowed a friend's car and picked up Sudharsan for a journey towards Pannimadai. As they approached SRP Nagar near Vadamadurai in Thudiyalur, Rohit reportedly lost control of the vehicle. The car veered off the road and collided with a roadside tree. Both occupants sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are investigating the exact cause of the accident, with initial speculation pointing to possible speeding or driver error.
