Four Boys Rescued from Bana Hill in Deogarh After Overnight Search Operation
In a dramatic rescue operation, four boys aged between 10 and 12 years were successfully rescued from Bana hill in Deogarh district on Thursday. The boys had been missing since Wednesday evening, sparking a massive joint search effort involving police, forest officials, locals, and family members.
Overnight Search and Drone Deployment
The incident began when a man filed a missing complaint on Wednesday night after his 12-year-old son and three other minors, aged 10, 11, and 12, failed to return home. The boys had reportedly told their families they were going to play and would later attend tuition classes. When they did not return by evening, the father contacted the tutor, who confirmed that none of the boys had attended classes that day.
Police immediately registered a kidnapping case and launched a search operation. Reamal police, assisted by their counterparts from Deogarh and Kundheigola, along with forest officials from the Reamal range, conducted intensive searches throughout Wednesday night. Forest officials even deployed a drone camera to aid in the search, but the boys could not be located initially.
Discovery Near Temple and Rescue
The search resumed on Thursday morning when authorities received information about the boys' presence on Bana hill. A team quickly rushed to the spot and found the four boys near a temple atop the hill. Officials revealed that one of the boys had persuaded the others to accompany him with the idea of becoming a baba (saint), leading to their unexpected adventure.
After being brought down from the hill, the tired but safe boys were initially produced before the judicial magistrate first class (JMFC) in Deogarh. They were then taken for a medical examination to ensure their well-being.
Handover to Families and Official Procedures
Following the medical check-up, the four minors were produced before the child welfare committee (CWC) in Deogarh. After completing all necessary formalities, the boys were finally handed over to their respective families, bringing relief to all involved.
The successful rescue operation highlights the effectiveness of coordinated efforts between multiple agencies and community participation in emergency situations. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilance and prompt action in cases involving missing children.
