Road Safety Concerns on NH-66

These back-to-back fatal accidents on NH-66 have raised serious concerns about road safety in the Udupi district region. National Highway-66, which runs along India's western coast, is a major transportation corridor that sees significant traffic volume, including heavy commercial vehicles.

The incidents highlight the dangers of speeding and negligent driving, particularly on busy highway stretches. Both accidents involved vehicles traveling at high speeds, with devastating consequences for the victims and their families.

Local authorities are likely to face increased pressure to enhance road safety measures along this critical transportation route, including better enforcement of speed limits, improved signage, and enhanced driver awareness programs.

The tragic loss of life in these separate incidents serves as a sobering reminder of the importance of responsible driving practices and the need for continued vigilance on India's roadways.
