Incident Details: Children Left Behind During Refueling Stop

The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of the Neemuch city police station, near the Barkheda Hada petrol pump on the highway. The children were traveling with their family in a pickup vehicle. When the vehicle stopped for refueling, the young boy and girl got down to drink water. However, in an unfortunate oversight, the pickup departed the location before they could return, leaving the children stranded and alone.

After losing contact with their family, the children were found wandering near the petrol pump, confused and scared. Information about their situation was promptly received at the state-level Dial 112 police control room in Bhopal on Tuesday. Upon receiving the alert, a Dial 112 response vehicle deployed in the Neemuch city police station area was immediately dispatched to the scene to provide assistance.

Rapid Response and Family Reunion

The Dial 112 team, demonstrating quick thinking and resourcefulness, traced the contact number linked to the pickup vehicle through its registration details. They then informed the family about the children's whereabouts, alleviating their anxiety. The personnel brought the children to the police station in the FRV vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort during the process.

Sub-inspector Vijendra Singh Chauhan and pilot Vinod Sharma from the Dial 112 team reached the spot and took the children into their protective custody. Following proper identification and verification procedures, the children were joyfully handed over to their family, marking a successful reunion.
