Delhi Traffic Police Imposes Weekend Restrictions for Radha Soami Satsang Event
In anticipation of the Radha Soami Satsang Beas event, Delhi Traffic Police has announced significant traffic restrictions in south Delhi over the upcoming weekend. The event, scheduled to take place at the Radha Soami Satsang Complex in Bhati Mines, Chhattarpur, is expected to draw a large crowd, necessitating these measures to manage congestion and ensure smooth flow.
Details of Traffic Restrictions
The restrictions will be in effect from March 6 to 8, with specific rules applying during the event hours. Movement will be restricted on Bhati Mines road between Chhattarpur road and the Gurgaon road T-point from 4am to 8pm each day. Heavy vehicles will not be permitted on this stretch during these hours, as per the advisory issued by the police.
An estimated 3–4 lakh devotees are anticipated to attend the event, which could lead to significant congestion on roads leading to the ashram. This is particularly concerning given the presence of numerous banquet halls, farmhouses, and wedding venues in the area, which may exacerbate traffic issues.
Alternative Routes and Entry Points
To facilitate travel, Delhi Traffic Police has outlined alternative routes for commuters. Entry to the satsang complex will be allowed exclusively via Bhati Mines road. Those travelling from Faridabad or Gurgaon are advised to approach via Dera Border to avoid the restricted zones.
For heavy traffic, diversions have been planned. Vehicles will be diverted from Mandi road through Jonapur Cut to the Mehrauli–Gurgaon road. Additionally, traffic from Badshahpur road near Mallu Farm will be redirected toward the Jonapur–Mehrauli–Gurgaon road to minimize disruptions.
