A shocking case of domestic violence has emerged from the capital, where a 36-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her husband inside her own boutique in northeast Delhi's Jafrabad area. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, sending ripples through the local community.
The Grisly Discovery in Maujpur
According to the Delhi Police, the first alert came via a PCR call at 2:06 am on Sunday. The caller reported that a woman was lying in an unconscious state inside a boutique located in the Maujpur area. Responding swiftly, police officers reached the scene and found the boutique's shutter partially closed.
Inside, they discovered the woman lying on the floor. She was immediately rushed to the nearby JPC Hospital, but doctors declared her dead on arrival. The initial scene raised several red flags for the investigators.
Investigation Points to Foul Play
A forensic team was summoned to examine the boutique thoroughly and collect crucial evidence. One significant detail that caught the attention of the investigators was the missing mobile phone of the deceased woman. A senior police officer revealed the motive behind the brutal act. "He suspected her of having an extramarital affair. He also strongly objected to her lifestyle, which included going out for dinners and parties. This ongoing conflict culminated in a confrontation that led to the murder," the officer said.
The police have registered a case at the Jafrabad police station and are actively investigating the precise sequence of events. They are also looking into whether there was any history of domestic disputes between the couple, which might have foreshadowed this extreme outcome.
