A man identified as Sahil Solanki was shot dead in Delhi's Rohini area on Saturday night, with police suspecting gang rivalry as the motive behind the killing. Sahil, who had recently been released from jail, was allegedly associated with the notorious Gogi gang, while the rival Tillu gang is suspected to be behind the murder. According to police reports, the shooting occurred in the Cartoon police station area of Rohini district, specifically in Rohini Sector 17. Sahil Solanki was shot in the head and other parts of his body. The attackers reportedly arrived on a motorcycle, opened fire, and fled the scene. Police teams, including crime and forensic units, reached the location and recovered multiple empty cartridges. Statements from local witnesses have been recorded as part of the ongoing investigation.
District Additional DCP Rajiv Ranjan confirmed over the phone that Sahil had been released from jail a few days prior and had a criminal background. While no previous murder cases were registered against him, three other cases were confirmed. Police sources claimed the deceased was known as 'Durga' and was linked to the Gogi gang in the Delhi-NCR region, though this has not been officially confirmed. A knife was reportedly recovered from his right hand at the scene.

The family members of the deceased are inconsolable, adding to the emotional toll on the community.
Police have registered a case of murder and are actively scanning CCTV footage from nearby areas.
