Delhi Car Blast: Foreign Handler Sent 42 Bomb-Making Videos to Doctor
Delhi Blast: 42 Bomb Videos Sent to Doctor by Handler

Security agencies are investigating a sophisticated terror module after a car bomb explosion shook Delhi near the historic Red Fort earlier this month. The blast, which resulted in approximately ten fatalities, has revealed alarming connections to international handlers who provided extensive bomb-making instructions to medical professionals.

The Bomb-Making Tutorials

According to an exclusive investigative report, one of three alleged foreign handlers systematically sent 42 do-it-yourself (DIY) bomb-making videos to Muzammil Ahmad Ganai, a doctor from Faridabad's Al Falah Medical College. These instructional materials were transmitted through encrypted messaging applications, highlighting the digital sophistication of the terror operation.

Dr. Ganai, who has been arrested in connection with the Red Fort blast, was a close colleague and associate of Dr. Umar Nabi, the 36-year-old Kashmiri doctor who carried out the suicide attack on November 10, 2025. The car bomb explosion claimed around ten lives, including Nabi's.

The Foreign Handler Network

Investigators are scrutinizing the roles and identities of foreign handlers who allegedly guided the terror module in constructing explosives and encouraged them toward suicide attacks. Security agencies are examining potential overlaps with previous incidents involving similar DIY bombing methods across India.

A particularly significant figure has emerged as a key person of interest: Mohammed Shahid Faisal, who operates under multiple aliases including "Colonel," "Laptop Bhai," and "Bhai." Investigators suspect Faisal has been coordinating with terror modules in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu since 2020.

Faisal's alleged involvement extends to multiple previous attacks, including the Coimbatore car suicide blast on October 23, 2022, the accidental Mangaluru autorickshaw explosion on November 20, 2022, and the more recent Bengaluru Rameshwaram Cafe blast on March 1, 2024.

Background of the Mastermind

Faisal, also known as Zakir Ustad, presents a concerning profile. He is an engineering graduate from Bengaluru who disappeared in 2012 when he was 28 years old. His disappearance followed police uncovering an alleged Lashkar-e-Taiba-linked terror plot that involved young engineers, doctors, and other professionals in the city.

Investigators believe Faisal fled to Pakistan shortly after being identified as a key network member and later relocated to the Syria-Turkey border region. His identity was formally confirmed during the National Investigation Agency's probe into the Rameshwaram Cafe blast, where he has been named as an absconding accused.

The investigation took a crucial turn when Dr. Ganai was arrested ten days before the actual blast. During this operation, authorities made a massive recovery of explosive materials from his premises, including over 2,500 kg of various explosive substances, with 350 kg being ammonium nitrate.

Security agencies continue to piece together the international connections and digital communication patterns that enabled this sophisticated terror operation, raising concerns about the evolving nature of terrorist recruitment and training methodologies in the digital age.
