Armed Robbers Target Isolated Home in Daltonganj

In a shocking incident that has rattled residents of Daltonganj, three armed men executed a daring daylight robbery by threatening a three-year-old child at gunpoint. The terrifying event unfolded on Tuesday when the criminals targeted the home of Punam Tiwary in Chechani Tola area, making away with jewellery valued at lakhs of rupees.

How the Terrifying Incident Unfolded

The three suspects, aged between 18-22 years, arrived at Punam's residence on a motorcycle and forcefully entered the property. Taking advantage of the woman's vulnerable situation - living alone while her husband works with the fire brigade in Ranchi - the miscreants held her young daughter at gunpoint to coerce compliance.

According to police officials, the robbers appeared to have prior knowledge of the family's circumstances, specifically targeting the house when the woman was alone with her child. The swift operation left the victim traumatized but physically unharmed.

Police Investigation and Current Status

Town police station officer-in-charge Jyoti Lal Rajwar confirmed that a case has been registered and investigation initiated based on the complaint filed by victim Punam Tiwary. The police began their probe on Wednesday, approximately 24 hours after the robbery occurred.

Law enforcement agencies have launched extensive raids across multiple locations in their pursuit of the suspects. "We have detained some individuals for questioning and are conducting thorough interrogations," stated Rajwar, indicating significant progress in the case.

The police are exploring all possible leads and have intensified their search operations across the region. The incident has raised concerns about safety and security in residential areas, particularly for families where members work in different cities.
