Daily Wage Worker Brutally Murdered in Dumka
A shocking discovery was made on Friday morning when the body of a 30-year-old man was found near Madansahi-Boha Mod, close to Satpulwa under Taljhari police station limits in Sahibganj district. The victim has been identified as Bachhan Munda, a resident of Madansahi village within the same police jurisdiction.
Gruesome Discovery and Police Investigation
Local authorities were alerted to the scene where they made the grim discovery. Police immediately sent the body to Sahibganj Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Preliminary investigations have confirmed that this was no accidental death, but a deliberate murder.
Investigating officers recovered a bloodstained stone from near the crime scene, which they believe was used as the primary weapon to attack the victim. The stone showed clear evidence of having been used in the violent assault, and the victim's head bore corresponding injury marks consistent with such an attack.
Family's Tragic Account
According to family members, Bachhan Munda worked as a daily wage laborer and typically returned home by evening each day. His mother, Khudiya Devi, provided a heartbreaking account to the police, stating, "My son left home in the morning on Thursday for work but didn't return. We searched for him everywhere but couldn't find him."
The family's worst fears were confirmed when his body was discovered the following morning, ending their desperate search with tragic results.

Vimlesh Kumar Tripathi, the sub-divisional police officer of Rajmahal, confirmed that a thorough investigation is underway. "Investigation is underway considering all possible angles," stated Tripathi, indicating that police are exploring various motives and potential suspects in the case.
The local community has been shaken by this violent incident, particularly given the victim's status as a daily wage worker simply trying to earn a living. Police have assured the public that they are pursuing all leads to bring the perpetrators to justice.
