Coimbatore Court Bomb Threat Email Proves Hoax After Search

Coimbatore Court Complex Placed on High Alert Following Bomb Threat Email

The Coimbatore Integrated Court Complex and the Judicial Training Centre were placed on a high security alert on Wednesday morning after authorities received a threatening email containing a bomb threat. The alarm was raised at approximately 9:00 AM when an anonymous email reached the court administration.

Details of the Threatening Email

The sender of the email claimed that explosives, including RDX and cyanide gas, would be detonated on the premises at 11:50 AM. This specific timing and mention of dangerous materials prompted immediate action from court officials.

Swift Police Response and Security Measures

Upon receiving the alert, court authorities promptly notified the Coimbatore City Police. The police department responded by deploying the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad along with a specialized K9 dog unit to the location. Security personnel conducted a thorough and extensive search of the entire court complex and training centre premises.

Threat Declared a Hoax After Investigation

After completing their comprehensive search operation, police officials confirmed that no suspicious objects or explosive materials were found anywhere on the property. Consequently, the bomb threat was officially declared a hoax by investigating authorities. The incident highlights the importance of taking all security threats seriously while maintaining proper protocols for verification.
