The West Bengal Criminal Investigation Department (CID) conducted raids at the residences of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Trinamool Congress (TMC) national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee as part of an investigation into a forged signature case. The operation, which took place on Wednesday, lasted approximately two hours at the chief minister's residence and three hours at Abhishek Banerjee's office.
According to official sources, the CID officials did not make any seizures during the raids. The searches were carried out in connection with allegations of forged signatures on documents related to a land transaction case. The CID team, accompanied by forensic experts, examined documents and digital evidence at both locations.

The probe stems from a complaint filed earlier this year alleging that signatures of several individuals, including public figures, were forged on property deeds.
