Chennai College Student Critically Injured in Terrifying 30ft Flyover Plunge
A 19-year-old college student from Chennai is fighting for his life after a horrific accident in the early hours of Friday. The youth, identified as Salman from Andavar Nagar in Kodambakkam, was critically injured when the car he was driving plunged nearly 30 feet from the Maduravoyal flyover onto the road below.
Details of the Early Morning Tragedy
Salman, a first-year college student in the city, had reportedly informed his family that he was going to play cricket before leaving with the car. Around 1 AM, while driving from Ambattur towards Poonamallee, he allegedly lost control of the vehicle on the flyover.
The car crashed into the railing before toppling off the elevated structure and nosediving onto the road beneath. The impact left the vehicle completely mangled and unrecognizable, highlighting the severity of the crash.
Rescue and Hospitalization Efforts
Vanagaram police immediately rushed to the scene upon receiving information about the accident. With assistance from members of the public who witnessed the terrifying incident, officers managed to rescue Salman from the wrecked car.
The injured student was quickly transported to Government Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital, where he remains in critical condition receiving emergency medical treatment. The damaged vehicle was subsequently removed from the accident site to restore normal traffic flow.

Maduravoyal traffic investigation wing police have registered a formal case regarding the incident and are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident. Authorities are examining multiple factors that might have contributed to the vehicle falling from such a significant height.
