According to Pacheco, she woke up after hearing suspicious noises inside her house. Upon investigating, she encountered Sharma, who immediately held a knife to her throat. A struggle ensued, during which Pacheco sustained a neck injury.

Sharma then fled the scene, taking a laptop and a mobile phone with him. The entire incident left Pacheco shaken and injured.
