Buxar District Administration Intensifies Security Measures for Holi Festival

Ahead of the vibrant Holi festival, the Buxar district administration has implemented comprehensive security and law enforcement protocols to ensure peaceful and orderly celebrations across the region. District Magistrate Sahila and Senior Superintendent of Police Shubham Arya conducted a thorough review of all arrangements on Monday, issuing detailed directives to officials and personnel.

Massive Deployment of Magistrates and Police Personnel

In a significant security mobilization, a total of 102 magistrates and police officers have been strategically deployed throughout Buxar district. This includes 31 dedicated patrol teams and two zonal magistrates who will oversee operations. All assigned personnel have been instructed to report to their designated locations starting Monday and remain stationed until March 4, or until the situation normalizes completely.

Sub-divisional officers and sub-divisional police officers from both Buxar and Dumraon will supervise law and order maintenance in their respective jurisdictions. Their primary responsibility is to ensure full compliance with deployment orders and monitor ground-level implementation of security protocols.

Enhanced Vigilance During Holika Dahan and Festival Activities

Special attention has been directed toward Holika Dahan ceremonies, with authorities ordering heightened vigilance during these traditional bonfire events. Fire tenders and professional firefighting teams will be positioned at critical locations, including the district control room and major police stations, to respond promptly to any emergencies.

Municipal bodies have received instructions to maintain cleanliness standards in urban areas, while the electricity supply company has been tasked with repairing any hanging or exposed wires along identified festival routes to prevent accidents.

Health Services and Emergency Response Preparedness

The district administration has placed all health services on high alert status. Medical teams equipped with essential medicines and ambulances will remain on standby at multiple healthcare facilities, including the sadar hospital, Dumraon sub-divisional hospital, and all primary health centres across Buxar.

Both government and private hospitals have been formally requested to maintain emergency preparedness. Additionally, a specialized Quick Response Team (QRT) has been established to handle any urgent situations that may arise during the festivities. The district control room will operate continuously from the disaster management branch located on the collectorate campus.

Strict Enforcement of Prohibition Laws and River Patrols

Authorities have emphasized continued strict enforcement of prohibition regulations. Regular raids will be conducted to curb illegal liquor sales and transportation. Motorcycle patrols will monitor land areas, while boat patrols will cover river regions to prevent unlawful activities.

Officials will maintain close surveillance on sensitive ghats and previously identified locations known for potential disturbances. This multi-layered security approach aims to create a safe environment for all residents to enjoy Holi celebrations without concerns about law and order issues.
