Bus Overturns in Jind Fields After Driver Brakes Suddenly
Fifteen people sustained injuries when a Haryana Roadways bus overturned into fields near Jind on Friday. The accident occurred at the Mohangarh-Khatkar T-point. Around fifty passengers were traveling on the bus at the time.
Sequence of Events Leading to the Accident
The bus departed from Mandi Kalan village around 10:30 am. It was heading towards Jind with approximately fifty passengers onboard. When the bus reached the Mohangarh-Khatkar T-point, a car suddenly appeared in front of it.
Bus driver Amarjeet applied the brakes abruptly to avoid colliding with the car. This sudden braking caused him to lose control of the vehicle. The bus then overturned into nearby agricultural fields.
Reports indicate the car driver came in front of the bus to evade paying a toll. After the bus overturned, the car driver fled the scene immediately. Panic spread among the passengers following the overturn.
Rescue and Medical Response
People traveling in vehicles behind the bus helped rescue trapped passengers. Police personnel and ambulances reached the spot promptly upon receiving information about the accident.
Ambulance driver Suresh Mandi from the Chhattar village community health center arrived first with an ambulance. He shifted the injured to Civil Hospital in Jind. Two more ambulances reached the location later and transported all injured individuals to the hospital.
Medical staff at Civil Hospital provided first aid treatment to all fifteen injured passengers. They sustained only minor injuries. All patients were discharged after receiving necessary medical care.

The injured included bus driver Amarjeet and conductor Kuldeep. Passengers who sustained injuries came from several villages:
- From Chhattar village: Surender, Kamlesh, Maya, and Shivani
- From Bhonsla village: Neelam and Murti
- From Kahsoon: Sheela
- From Mandi Kalan: Rajbir and Mukesh
