A horrific incident of violence stemming from allegations of witchcraft has claimed the life of a woman and left four others injured in Bihar's Nawada district. The brutal clash between two families occurred on Thursday in the Rajauli police station area.

The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Kiran Devi. Her husband, Naresh Choudhary, was among those who sustained injuries during the violent confrontation. According to statements from the victim's family, the tragic episode unfolded after a child from a neighbouring family became unwell.

Despite the sick child being taken to a doctor and receiving a diagnosis for a brain-related condition, neighbours allegedly refused to accept the medical explanation. Instead, they pointed fingers at Kiran Devi, accusing her of practising witchcraft and blaming her for the illness. This baseless accusation became the flashpoint for extreme violence.
Family members of the victim have named Mukesh Chaudhary, Mahendra Chaudhary, Natru Chaudhary, and Shobha Devi—all relatives from the neighbouring family—as the perpetrators. They allege that this group attacked Kiran Devi using bricks, stones, and iron rods, leading to her death.
