Violence and Crime Across Bihar Districts
In a separate and violent incident in Siwan district, auto-rickshaw driver Ramashankar Gupta (50) was shot at by bike-borne criminals near Hujhujipur village under the Andar police station area on Sunday. His family has linked the brazen attack to an ongoing land dispute, alleging that prior threats were not acted upon by the police. Andar police station officer Papon Kumar confirmed that the case prima facie appears to be land dispute-related. Police have inspected the scene and are conducting raids to identify and arrest the perpetrators.
